In Memoriam - A Celebration of Life

S973-1.jpgPaul Chandler was born March 7th, 1952, in Fletcher, NC. He was the son of Joe and Martha Chandler, both deceased, of Greenville SC. He was married for 52 years to Debra H. Chandler of St. Matthews and was loving father of three children. Paul Joseph (Allyson), Jason Lee, & Jessica Lynn (Brandon) and the grandfather of Christopher Joseph Chandler, (Victoria). Bianna Alyssa Chandler, Matthew Thomas Murphy (Alexis). Madison Baylee Parker. Emmalee Brooke Chavis, Mason James Parker, Lakeyn Marie Chandler, McKenzie Claire Shannon and great-grandfather Wesley Joseph Chandler. He had one sister, Joel Ann Chandler of Mauldin, S.C.

Paul was employed and operated Paul's Auto Service of St. Matthews. He had a God-given gift for mechanical skill, and he enjoyed the challenge to figure out how to make something run faster and better! Early years were spent on the Orangeburg Drag Strip and sometimes, maybe, on the back roads of Calhoun County putting that newly built engine to the test.

He absolutely loved being on the water skiing, fishing and camping with his children. Those early morning riverbank breakfasts you fixed for us are some of our fondest memories. We love and miss you, Poppa. You were the “glue” we counted on.●
