12 Months of SGC Leading Up to Christmas (to be sung to the tune of "The 12 Days of Christmas")

"In the twelve months before Christmas, the Simpsonville Garden Club shared with me- the knowl-edge and love for gardening: 11 ways to amend red clay, 10 native plant species, 9 plants maintained by composting, 8a the official Har-diness Zone in Simpsonville from the USDA, 7 poisonous plants that need special handling, and 6 different kinds of flowering paperwhite bulbs that need planting.

In a 5th reminder and encourage-ment to aid and protect the environ-ment, my garden club shared with me- requirements to create a wildlife habitat to maintain sustainability: 4 native plants that provide feeding, 3 places for covering, 2 sources of watering, and a bird house that is not hanging in a tree."

Thanks to the Greenville Woodworkers Guild and Garden Club Members who gave toys for our local children at the Center for Community Services, Head Start Program. All are welcome to join us for our January meeting, Jan 14 at 1pm, at the Simpsonville Rotary Hall as we learn about moss.
