The Fountain Inn Veterans Day Celebration is an opportunity to celebrate Veterans Day and to honor local veterans. The ceremony will take place at the Activities Center Gym, 610 Fairview Street, on Friday November 8, 2024, at 11:00 am. The Upstate Senior Band will present patriotic selections throughout the program. The Keynote Speaker is Jim Kvam, Immediate Past Commander of The American Legion Department of South Carolina. He is a Veteran of the US Navy. Introducing Jim will be Jim Jarvis, Past Legion Department Commander.

Additional speakers include Fountain Inn Mayor GP McLeer and SC Representative 

Mark Willis from District 16. 

We are also honored to have Phillip Serpentauski, Commander Post 123, Robert Delgado, Adjutant Post 123, ladies from Auxiliary Unit 123, and Rev. Sam Flint of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. 

Ken Hinkle, Upstate SC Quilts of Valor Coordinator will present Quilts of Valor to seven recipients. 

Afterwards, attendees may attend a free BBQ lunch provided by Big D’s Catering and Dessert provided by The Mill at Fountain Inn.●
