Motown Show at the Younts Center

Dear Editor:

My family and I attended the Motown show last night and we were overwhelmed by the amazing talent displayed by the gifted cast! The upbeat, pop-influenced style of rhythm and blues, portrayed by powerful dancing arrangements, artistic sets, and mellifluous harmony, brought the audience to their feet in thunderous applause. The enthusiasm, energy, and graceful terpsichore was a treat for the eyes and ears. Such quality performances, coming from local talent in small town America, are rare indeed. Having been born and raised in New York City, I've attended many musicals on and off Broadway. Their stages may be larger, and their sets more extravagant, but the performance my family and I saw last night would rival some of the musical concerts in the Big Apple. Moreover, to think that we could have such a dynamic and exhilarating experience, within minutes of our Fountain Inn home, at such a modest ticket price, is truly amazing. Mega-kudos to the performers, the production team, and to the marvelous Younts Center For Performing Arts! We will look forward to attending many more artistic productions in the future.
