October weather will have us looking forward to planting Pansies for the cooler temps and planting bulbs for spring flowers. A great tip we learned at the Sept meeting is to use a PVC pipe with holes drilled through (see photos) to improve watering in containers. Ms. Seagraves also gave us a list of plants that are fall/winter tolerant.

Our annual yard sale fund raiser will be Oct 21 from 8-12. We will be at the Mauldin Senior Center picnic shelter off Butler Rd next to the open-air market. Our members will be selling plants, new or used treasures and bake goods.

The new member coffee meeting will be November 6 from 10-12 at Kilgore-Lewis house. This meeting is for members of all 14 associated garden clubs belonging to the Greenville Council of Garden Clubs.
