The City of Simpsonville will kick off the holiday season once again by holding the 4th Annual Simpsonville Tree Lighting Ceremony Dec. 1 at City Hall. Held on the City Hall front lawn at 6-6:30 p.m., the Ceremony will feature the lighting of the 22.5-foot Christmas Tree. A “Christmas Carol Medley” sing-along, reading from the Book of Luke, “Letters to Santa” station for the kids and hot chocolate with cookies will add to the festivities.

 To allow for a safe Ceremony, Northeast Main Street will be closed from College to Curtis streets from 5:45 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. on the day of the tree lighting.

The Annual Simpsonville Tree Lighting Ceremony began in 2019 and is expected to remain a tradition in the City of Simpsonville for years to come. For more information, contact Community Relations Specialist Justin Campbell at jcampbell@simpsonville.com.

The Simpsonville Chamber Christmas Parade on Sunday, December 4th will certainly bring a smile to your face and a song to your heart! This event is a community favorite, and a great chance for the season's first sighting of Santa! The theme of this year’s Christmas Parade is “Sounds of the Season.” Each entry should choose their favorite holiday song and decorate to the theme of that song. Entries are encouraged to play their song while they drive or walk the parade route. Sing along with them!

Christmas Inn Fountain Inn Tree Lighting will be held on December 2nd from 7:00 to 9:00pm at the Splash Pad. On December 3rd the city will host a Rudolph Run at 6:00pm also a Kids’ Fun Run and a 5K at 6:45. The Merry Market will be open December 10, 11, and 17 from 5:00pm to 9:30pm. It will also be open on December 16th from 6:00pm to 9:30pm. The Fountain Inn Chamber Christmas Parade will be held on December 7 from 5:30 to 6:30 PM. “Christmas in Our Town” Festival will begin on December 9th and run through the 17th.  Carriage rides will be available on the days of the Festival from 5:00 to 9:30. Tickets must be purchased in advance. Santa’s Workshop is a free event and will be open every night.

Mauldin’s Christmas Tree Lighting will be held on December 1st at 6:00pm. In the Amphitheater of the Mauldin Cultural Center

Greater Mauldin Chamber of Commerce Christmas Parade, “A December to Remember” is scheduled for Saturday December 3 at 2:00 pm.
