FRANK ALLGOOD

Frank Allgood was elected to replace the 21 year veteran Dale black in last November’s general election.

After a runoff in the four-man race, Allgood was declared the winner. He was sworn in at the first meeting in January at Mauldin City Hall. With his wife Jeneane Allgood holding the Bible, the oath was administered by Frank’s uncle Bill Allgood of Seneca. Allgood added, ”I want to thank all my supporters and voters for giving me the opportunity to serve Mauldin.

AARON RUPE

On January 11 Aaron Rupe was sworn into Simpsonville City Council to represent Ward 2. He took over the vacated seat of Stephanie Kelley who decided not to seek reelection. This is Rupe’s second attempt at a city Council seat. He lost the first race by only a few votes in a runoff. His 4 year term will expire on December 31, 2025.

Former South Carolina State Sen. David Thomas administered the oath of office with Aaron’s wife holding the Bible.

Rupe added,” I look forward to serving Simpsonville. Thank you again for all those that trusted me with their vote and those that helped me through this process. I would especially like to thank my wife and beautiful children for their love and support. May God’s blessings be upon the city. I look forward to serving Simpsonville.”■
