Mills River – Robert McQueen Case, 94, passed away Sunday, October 31, 2021 at the Laurels of Hendersonville.

Mr. Case was born in Paris Mountain, SC to the late Ervin and Hattie Pack Case.  He was also preceded in death by five brothers; Charles, Raymond, Thomas, L.D. and Cecil and three sisters; Ruby, Marjorie Ruth “Tootsie”, and Betty.

Robert was an Army veteran serving during the Korean Conflict and stationed in Germany as post war occupational force.  He was a machine gunner with the Ivy Fourth Division Company B, Eighth Infantry Regiment.  He was a member of the Hendersonville VFW and American Legion, Fanning Chapel United Methodist Church and he volunteered with the ABCCM.

He is survived by his three sons, Mark Case (Melissa), John Case and Matthew Case (Alesia); one brother, Larry Case; six grandchildren, Jennie, Jessica, Justin, Luke, Dean and Alissa and two great grandchildren, Nora and Ayla Grace. 

A graveside service was held on Wednesday, November 3, 2021 at 3:00 pm at Fanning Chapel United Methodist Church in Mills River.
