Susan Warren Waldron Burks was born on February 13, 1951 in Harrisonburg VA., daughter of Elmo and Lillian Waldron. She grew up in Greensboro, NC, where she attended Grimsley High School and later attended Meredith College in Raleigh NC. 

Susan had an infectious personality. She loved to laugh and make those around her happy. She enjoyed singing and playing the piano. She was married Paul Ray Burks. 

She passed away May 3, 2017 in Winston-Salem, NC at age 66.

She is survived by her son Paul Irving Sink, and wife Jennifer Strachen and their children Allison and Austin Sink of Taylorsville, NC; her daughter, Rebecca Sink, and husband Johnathan, and their daughter, Coral Beck of Winston-Salem, NC; a brother, Pendleton Glass Waldron, and wife Kate Robinson Farr of Newton NC; nephew  Warren Beatty Waldron, and wife Lauren Chapman of Charlotte, NC and their children, Wyatt and Kate; niece, Kate Terrell Conklin, and her son Jerimiah of Charlotte, NC; sister Cathy Waldron Parrish and husband Jim of Waxhaw, NC; nephew, James Preston Parrish and wife Robin Vaught of Cary, NC, and their children Jackson and Camden; niece, Cristan Latty and husband Allen of Charlotte, NC, and their children Trip and Preston.

It is her family’s wish that our sister be remembered with love, kindness, fun times, and laughter.?
