As a result of the Run-off Elections both Simpsonville and Fountain Inn have new council members. Jerry Tuso was elected in a run-off election in Simpsonville by defeating incumbent Lew Hutchinson. Tuso campaigned on the theme of transparency and favoring impact fees for developers. Tuso added, “I am proud to be able to serve the community on City Council and am looking forward to getting started in January.” He will be sworn in at the first meeting in January 2026.

Fountain Inn installs council members on the first meeting in December after the election is certified. AJ Dearybury was sworn in on December 1st. She unseated incumbent Joey Garrett in a runoff election on November 18th.

Anjeanette added these comments, “I am so excited and humbled to be elected as a council member for Fountain Inn! Thank you to everyone for the support, for voting for me, and for coming out to vote again. A special thanks to my husband and sons for their love and belief in me. I would also like to thank Mr. Garrett for serving on council the past four years.

I look forward to serving the great people of Fountain Inn. The future is bright for Fountain Inn!
