Stitching Tradition and Talent: The Annual Aunt Het Quilt Show Showcases 27 Years of Craftsmanship

The Fountain Inn Activity Center will once again come alive with color, creativity, and community spirit as the Nimble Thimbles Quilt Guild hosts the Annual Aunt Het Quilt Show from October 3–5, 2025.

This beloved event, now in its 27th year, coincides with the City’s Aunt Het Festival weekend, welcoming visitors to experience more than 150 quilts skillfully crafted by local artisans. Guests can also enjoy a raffle quilt, boutique area, and silent auction baskets, all organized by the guild’s dedicated members.

Founded in 1988 in Mauldin, the Nimble Thimbles Quilt Guild has long embodied its motto — “The Guild with a Heart.” Beyond showcasing their artistry, members have contributed countless quilts, tote bags, dolls, and sensory items to organizations throughout the Golden Strip community. Each year, half of the proceeds from the raffle quilt are donated to local causes.

The guild meets the second Monday of each month at 7:00 p.m. at Messiah Lutheran Church in Mauldin. Meetings feature a business session, show-and-share presentations, and creative workshops such as Secret Quilter, Strip Swap, and Block of the Month. Visitors are always welcome to join and explore the joy of quilting.

“Our recent quilt show was a wonderful celebration of creativity, craftsmanship, and community,” said Guild President Rebecca Carrión. “We’re proud to share our love of quilting with the Fountain Inn community and beyond.” said Rebecca Carrion, 2025 President of the guild. “We’re proud to share our love of quilting and community each year in Fountain Inn.”
