Beatrice Chandler Johnson, 91, wife of the late James Arthur Johnson, went Home to be with the Lord on Friday, August 8, 2025.

Born in Greenville County, she was a daughter of the late Waymon P. Chandler and the late Ella Mae Powell Chandler.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who enjoyed cooking, sewing, and spending time with her family. She was of the Baptist faith.

Beatrice is survived by sons, Glenn Lee Johnson (Nina) of Mauldin, James Edward Johnson (Pamela) of Moncks Corner, and Bobby Ray Johnson (Kimberly) of Mauldin; grandchildren, Christopher Ray Johnson, Brian Michael Johnson, Ethan James Johnson, David Albert Johnson, Mark Arthur Johnson, Tina Travelstead (Jeff), Lucas Johnson, and Clinton Johnson; great-grandchildren, Elijah Johnson, Evie Johnson, Jake Johnson, Sophia Johnson, Noah Johnson, Eden Johnson, Levi Travelstead, Dawson Travelstead, Benjamin Travelstead, Sebastian Travelstead, Sullivan Johnson, Sterling Johnson, and Slater Johnson; nieces, Joel-Ann Chandler, Peggy Chandler, Kathy Chandler, Renee Chandler, and Mary Lynn Seymore; and nephews, Allen Chandler, Brad Chandler, and Chad Chandler.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her siblings, Joe Edward Chandler, Marion Chandler, Billy Chandler, and half-brother, Jerome Powell; a nephew, Paul Chandler; and a special friend, Patsy Rice.

Funeral services were held on Thursday, August 14, 2025 in the Chapel of Palmetto Mortuary, 1017 Mauldin Road, Greenville, SC 29607. Interment followed in Graceland East Memorial Park, 2206 Woodruff Road, Simpsonville, SC 29681.
