Get Amp’d Up This Summer in Mauldin!

There’s no better sign that summer is on its way than live music filling the evening air, the smell of food trucks firing up dinner, and neighbors dancing under the stars. Here in Mauldin, that means one thing -- Amp’d Up Fridays are back.

S1052-1.jpgFriday nights from May 23 through July 25, the Mauldin Cultural Center will once again host the Upstate’s favorite summer concert series.

What started nearly a decade ago as Beachin’ Fridays, a celebration of Carolina Beach Music, has grown into something even bigger and better. Rebranded in 2023 as Amp’d Up Fridays, the series now brings together a wider variety of musical genres including beach, pop, rock, and country, offering something for every musical taste.

Best of all, every show is completely free. That’s right -- free live music, free general admission, and free fun for the whole family. All you need to bring are your lawn chairs, blankets, and dancing shoes. It’s the perfect way to spend a Friday night soaking up that sweet Southern summer atmosphere.

The lineup for this year’s series is packed with talent you won’t want to miss. Randomonium kicks things off on May 23, followed by favorites like the Swingin’ Medallions, Rhythm City Band, and The Catalinas. From the soulful sounds of the Jamie Wright Band on July 4 to the grand finale with The Mighty Kicks on July 25, there’s not a bad night on the schedule.

Speaking of the finale, be sure to stick around after the last concert for an incredible fireworks display that will light up the sky. Fireworks will launch around 9:15 p.m., and it’s the perfect way to cap off two months of unforgettable summer nights.

Of course, no outdoor concert is complete without great food and drink. Each Friday, six to eight local food and dessert trucks will be on-site to satisfy every craving. From savory dishes to sweet treats, there's something for everyone, and you can always swing by Pop’s Cabin Creamery beside the Cultural Center for a scoop of ice cream. For the adults, beer and wine will be served by Growler Haus (just remember your ID to get your wristband).

A few helpful tips for the best experience: Outside food and drinks aren’t allowed, so come hungry and ready to support our local vendors. Well-behaved, leashed dogs are welcome. Just be sure to bring disposable bags for cleanup. For safety, skateboards, scooters, bikes, tents, and weapons are prohibited.

If weather becomes an issue, updates will be posted on the Mauldin Cultural Center’s social media channels (@mauldincultural), so follow along for the latest news, as well as announcements about the weekly food truck lineup.

Mauldin’s Amp’d Up Fridays are more than just concerts. They’re where our community comes together. Neighbors reconnect, kids play, and music fills the summer nights. Whether you’re a Mauldin local or you’re coming in from across the Upstate, we invite you to join us every Friday. Make this summer one to remember.
