Street Survival Tactics

Welcome back Street Survivors. I’m taking a readership survey, and I’d like as much participation as possible. Since we started this column over 15 years ago, we’ve discussed many ways to defend yourself, your family and your home. Based on the open border policies of the last 4 years, our country is much more dangerous than it has ever been, and your knowledge and personal skills are more important than they’ve ever been. It would help me to know what areas you feel confident in, and which specific topics you’d like to learn more about.

Rather than list a series of skills for you to check off here, I’d rather have you tell me in your own words, how confident you are in situational awareness, defending your home, personal self-defense, use and safety of handguns, etc.  After that please let me know the areas you feel weak in, or concerned about. Please send your comments to me at:  StreeTactics@gmail.com

I will tailor future articles and training opportunities based on the findings of what you, the Street Survivors really need!

Please join me in a quick flashback from this column back in Feb. 2024:

The U.S. border invasion is not just happening on our Southern border. Our Northern border with Canada has seen border patrol agents pulled from their duties to relocate to the Southern border to help assist with processing of illegals, and they are then transported across our country to every state and county the Federal Government can secretly move them to. This is an intentional dereliction of duty for every politician up and down the massive levels of government. Never in our extraordinary American history has our government worked so diligently against the will and well-being of its own citizens.

Even the hard-working, tax-paying citizens of the sanctuary cities and states are complaining that social services and benefits are being taken from them to accommodate the illegals. Veterans are being kicked out of housing, children are being removed from their schools, and vacant buildings that should have been repurposed for the community are all being turned into housing areas for this invading force.

Those predictions have more than come true, and the violence and brutality against American citizens has reached devastating levels. The current policies in place are making great progress in closing the borders, and deporting or incarcerating violent criminals from other countries that invaded our country illegally, but it is a massive undertaking. Police departments have been defunded and demoralized during the last 4 years, equipment and training have suffered due to reduced budgets. So much of this needs to be reversed as quickly as possible, but it takes time to recruit and train new officers, and the problem extends across the states and into the national law enforcement agencies. The ineptness of the once proud Secret Service has been on full display, failing to protect the President of the United States on multiple occasions.

Even the United States military suffered terribly on recruiting, funding and readiness. Those major problems are also rapidly being corrected with the new administration, and recruiting records have been reached during the first few months of 2025.

If Americans can work together without regulation and penalties, we can achieve great things together. If we can promote training and preparation at the local level, each of our neighborhoods, cities and towns can be much safer and supportive of each other. This I hope will be our destiny, and I’m committed to helping that worthwhile endeavor as much as possible.  We cannot depend on federal government agencies like FEMA to assist during emergencies and disasters, as recently proven right across our border with North Carolina. We must develop our own emergency response teams and funding sources in each state tailored for the type of emergencies we are likely to face. Creating a trained community will also build a great bond between citizens at the local level, prepared and willing to respond and support their neighbors.

Please consider completing my survey and emailing those thoughts and concerns to me.

May God Bless You All !●
