Hughes Investments welcomes Green Upstate High School to BridgeWay Station

Hughes Investments, Inc. is thrilled to welcome GREEN Upstate High School to BridgeWay Station. 

Known for its STEM curriculum and focus on renewable energy, GREEN Charter Schools is home to students in five cities across the state of South Carolina. On behalf of BridgeWay Station, Hughes Investments is excited to welcome the opening of GREEN Charter’s newest campus, GREEN Upstate High School (“GUHS”), in the fall of 2022. 

Global Renewable Energy Education Network (“GREEN”) will prepare students in STEM to creatively and responsibly impact our complex world in renewable energy, sustainability, and conservation efforts. At GREEN Charter Schools, every student is empowered to pursue their dreams and equipped to impact the world for the better. While serving their community, both families and staff alike, for nearly ten years, GREEN has been recognized as one of the State’s top 5 choices for Charter Schools at each level of education. 

GREEN Upstate High School brings a signature approach to education and is creating a robust elective cycle in order to give students the experience to explore different career clusters. As a student at GUHS, opportunities for AP courses in all core subject areas as well as several AP elective courses will be available. In addition to AP excellence, you can expect dual enrollment opportunities with Greenville Tech and USC Upstate! 

“Our new campus at Bridgeway Station is an exciting next step in our efforts to serve more students in our personalized schools,” says Tom Cronin, Executive Director at GREEN Charter Schools. “We are also excited to have Chase Willingham leading those efforts as our Founding Principal. Chase is available to any family interested in learning more about our school at Chase has the background and insight to make this new school the fulfillment of our K-12 education.” 

The BridgeWay Station location will be the sixth GREEN Charter School in the network. The original GREEN Charter School campus was launched in Greenville in 2013. BridgeWay Station is a multi-phase, mixed-use development actively under construction in Mauldin, SC. BridgeWay Station is located at the exit of Bridges Road off of I-385. GREEN Upstate High School joins Cohesive Coffee, Belladina’s Italian Market, The Junkyard, Poogan’s Porch, Cinergy Entertainment, and Dodge® Bearings and Power Transmission as other announced tenants coming to BridgeWay Station. Over 70% of retail space has already been leased thus far at the development. Subsequent tenant announcements will be shared regularly.

We couldn’t be more excited to have them.” The first phase of development at BridgeWay Station will feature approximately 69,939 SF of retail, 210,824 SF of residential, 81,000 SF of institutional development, 75,000 SF of office, 24,691 SF of plaza and pavilion public space, and 5+ acres of parks connected to the Swamp Rabbit Trail and the new, iconic pedestrian bridge spanning I-385. GREEN Upstate High will be a completely remodeled 80,000 SF facility!
