Lester Howell Riddle, 65, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 2, 2022.

Mr. Riddle was born in Simpsonville to the late Thomas Donald “Don” Riddle, Jr. and Sarah Griffith Riddle.  He was a member of Fountain Inn First Baptist Church and spent most of his life as a dairy farmer.  He enjoyed being outdoors, fishing and vegetable gardening.  Lester won several blue ribbons at the Spartanburg County Fair for his canning and preserves.  He loved people, history and talking politics. Lester created traditions for his family to carry on such as crossword puzzles after dinner, oyster roasts, and pig smoking.  He was an antique farming equipment collector and enjoyed bluegrass. Lester was an adventurous soul and had plenty of stories to share including his skydiving experiences.

Surviving is a son, Brooks Riddle; daughter, Brittany Medlin with husband Clint; two grandchildren, Riley and Stella Medlin; and three brothers, Allen Riddle, Ashley Riddle with wife Pam and Scott Riddle with wife Sheri; and his former wife and friend, Faye Oglesby Riddle.■
